"Dark Series"
This particular series is about abuse and the emotional consquences of dealing with it. Abuse is not just physical. It is psychological, emotional and often hidden from the naked eye. With these works, I wish to reach out to those who have been exposed to abuse and let them know they are not alone. At the same time I hope to bring awareness and insights to those fortunate enough not to have been afflicted by this sad yet very common social disease.
"Glass"
This particualar series is about addiction, and the relationship between the addict and others. I use glass, and glass containers, to emphasize the invisible boundary that exists. The glass also helps to symbolize the very complicated intangible layers that become a part of such relationships whether they are a friend, family member, or significant other.
